Kenny has been a Pastor/Elder at Redeemed South Bay since its inception in December of 2013. He served as an associate pastor of youth ministry at Hope Chapel Hermosa Beach for 3 years, before starting Redeemed South Bay with fellow church planters. Kenny graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with an Emphasis in Ministry and Leadership. Also, he is a two-time graduate of The Master’s Seminary (MDiv in 2019 and ThM in 2022), where He is currently pursuing a PhD in the field of theology. He is one of the teaching pastors at Redeemed and is passionate about biblical exposition, church history, theology, and discipleship.
Kenny married his beautiful wife, Tessie, in 2012 and they have four children together. The Kauffman family is thankful for God’s grace and providence that has been displayed to them and they look forward to growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Kenny was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and moved to the South Bay in February of 2009. Kenny is a sports fan, namely football and basketball, but he enjoys most sports. He played football, among other sports, in middle school, high school, and in college at The University of Findlay. His favorite professional teams include: the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Lakers. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, meeting people, studying, traveling, reading, cooking, playing basketball, and drinking a good cup of coffee.
